ABS
ABS is a non-governmental classification organization with more than 150 years, which provides services through standards called rules, these rules are the basis for asserting quality and safety in the design and construction of new vessels and the integrity of any existing marine structure.
The vision of ABS is safety, service and solutions, these three activities are the basis on which they build their services, establishing entities of excellence as one of the organizational principles of marine and offshore classification in the world.
The barge American Europe Marine 16, was designed and built under the rules of ABS from June 1, 1967, under the class "+ A1 Barge". The modifications made over the years have also been made under the same standards of the classification organization, achieving a new entry to carry out line laying work "+ A1 barge Dps 2", and complying with the Class and Statutory Inspections required by ABS and the Panamanian Flag.
The existing relationship with ABS has allowed us to guarantee the integrity and operability of the barge as a mobile offshore operation unit capable of operating anywhere in the world.
